Like a blue blinding breath,
Brash beautiful and bold,
Giving great gushes
Of giddy gaiety
Freely for foolish fantasy.
She whispers lovely
Sentiments softly, sweetly
Sounding strangely false
To my erroneous ears.
Her eyes tricked-empty
Tragic truth tripping out
Of otherwise opal opulence.
Her lips so warm,
Warm wet tears winding
Traveling wonderful twists
Towards womanly tips.
Yesterday you youth,
Stung serendipitously stupid
Broke bonded covenant
Creating casual cruel
Crushed dreams.
Lately I, a lost lover, lead
Little thought in this direction
Of her unrequited need
For me, of her affliction.
